Description

Project NUR aims to offer solar panels and battery package at no upfront cost to residents in Cardiff and Newport. The package would include servicing and replacement of battery at end of life. - It is not means tested. - It is open to home owners and private renters, not social housing tenants. - For houses and bungalows only, not flats. We offer basic energy advice via home visits, which also assess the home for solar panels and a battery. There is no commitment for the resident at that stage. If someone is eligible for a government grant for energy efficiency improvements we signpost for that. Please refer any Cardiff or Newport residents that may be interested in solar panels and a battery. Project NUR is a feasibility study (Mar 2025-Feb 2027) which aims to set up a community-owned organisation to deliver this, designing the project based on local people's needs.
